Aref is a Caspian Pony who had an early back injury. He had been kept on very restricted rations in the belief that his weigh had to be kept low to help his back. It fact he was so malnourished that he could hardly walk without a wobble. He went to live with a friend who had a paddock outside her window so that she could watch him very carefully incase he fell. She brought him back to good health before he came to join Blaikiewell horses. He is still head shy but likes to be groomed and laps up attention.
