Viking is a grey pony about 12 hands high, born in 1984. He and his friend Buttons came to Redwing Riding School when a small child telephoned in tears to ask if we would buy them because her dad was going to have them destroyed. It transpired that both ponies had been living almost wild on a hillside and Viking was terrified of people. However he became a friendly pony after a lot of quiet handling and has been a favourite with many of the children. He is still a bit camera shy, but we hope to get a better photo of him soon, when we can sneak up on him quickly. He is pure white and this tune, 'TheWhite Cocade' seems to suit him.
